CIA Covert Operations and U.S. Interventions Since World War II Part 9

This was a movie that was given to me at a lecture at the University of Arizona in 2003 by Frank Dorrel. I'm uploading it to YouTube in the hope that it will educate the public about the activities of their government.

Part 9 begins with Rania Masri speaking on Iraqi sanctions. She states that starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is prohibited by international law. The sanctions are a violation of the Geneva convention, the United Nations Charter, the constitution of the WHO, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Next the video addresses genocide in Indonesia and East Timor. Amy Goodman of Democracy Now recounts the story of what the military regime supported by the US government did to the people of East Timor.
President Suharto met with President Gerald Ford and Henry Kissinger and asked the United States to help him suppress the people of East Timor. Suharto wanted U.S. help in building up his military machine to increase its mobility for dealing with "insurgent elements." During the invasion of December 1975, 5 journalists were executed and mutilated. The government, with the help of the mainstream media, covered up one of the worst genocides in recent history with help of the United States Government. Ford, Reagan, Carter, Bush and Clinton did not speak of the atrocities of East Timor.
The next section deals with the Noriega regime in Panama. In December 1989, the United States secretly mobilized 20,000 troops for a midnight attack on Panama.
