Good, now maybe a incoming officer will buy our house. It's a good thing considering all the houses built in the area that are just sitting there. Think ppl.

Propaganda? What are you talking about? All of the quotes are from the tribe's press release regarding the facility. The only propaganda here is from their own statements. Why don't you have them build it in your backyard if you want to live in a prison town.

I just heard about this video. Talk about propaganda.

I sure don't want a prison in our neighborhood. Thanks for the informative video.

Actually, you may not be aware that it is in fact NOT a Federal prison. It is a state owned and operated one. Just like the one in Susanville (a.k.a. Ca. DOC High Desert) that was portrayed in the video. So not everything is referencing privately owned prisons.

Touche! The proposed prison was not state owned, rather it was to be privately owned and then contracted out. Why quibble over minor details. It would not be good for Sahuarita and the tribe has plenty of acreage available that would not effect the Town of Sahuarita.

I did have a prison in my backyard, every heard of a little place called San Francisco, Ca (San Quentin)? ABSOLUTELY NONE of "issue" that were portrayed in this video never happened in my 31 years there. This video plays on peoples naivete. Believe me, I was not exactly happy about the prison but I was against the misinformation that was being spread about it. It was fear mongering at it's worst. You can educate people without using fear tactics.

In case you were not aware of it, San Quentin is a maximum security Federal prison. This video deals strictly with privately owned prisons, which are a totally different animal. Do you think the Federal government would locate one of it's prisons right next to one of the top 10 rated master planned communities in the nation. I think not! You need to rethink your definition of fear mongering and see the larger picture of how private facilities effect the communities that they are near.
