@Tacticalgrappler yeah, I agree with you. And I kinda liked Salvation, it could have been a fucking masterpiece but... the script was weak.

I love this film. It took the terminator mythology and gave it its own original spin. Great action, acting, story, music. Whether the next film is a sequel/reboot/or original concept I hope it manages to do the same.

This movie redeemed the series. Terminator 3 flopped, but this movie rescued the franchise from certain doom.

No this is not the future war.
This isn't James Cameron's future war, its the T3 writers future war.
The guys who wrote T3 and Salvation have stated on their blogs that they hated the first 2 Terminator films. Escpeically 2, since according to them, your not allowed to change the future.
Fuck them and fuck anyone who likes T3 and Salvation.

I hate T Salvation. It ruined the story even more. WHY CAN'T WE HAVE THE REAL FUTURE WAR, the one KYLE talks about.
The one where John is the leader and it was HIM that formed Tech Com, not Micheal Ironside in a fake goatee. It was John who taught the people to rise up and fight the machines. It was John who lead Tech Com to victory in 2029. John Connor is the leader from DAY 1, not after like this movie suggests.

@HellFireKane Yeah seriously, when I want to watch John Connor be completely helpless and see Schwartzenegger come to the rescue, I'll watch T2 again. T3 was such a pointless entry to the series...

Salvation should have been the third Terminator movie IMO. T3 is basicly the same story as T2 just not as good.
