Each Summer term, after A2s have finished, a group of UVIth leavers attempt this famous traverse of the 15 peaks over 3,000 feet in Snowdonia, North Wales. It is a demanding expedition of 30 miles, with 12,000 feet of ascent. The challenge is to complete it in one continuous walk within 24 hours.
The route is over rocky terrain, but it does not involve technical climbing. The views are spectacular (when it is not raining) and the ground as rugged as can be found south of the Highlands, making this a very serious, but wonderfully rewarding, challenge.
