We used to call the show "The Walnuts".
It was very unrealistic this show, but still fun to watch. More now than back then, actually.

brill stuff like i return to my home in the old house long ago i waited for hours in exicement for an apple or a packet of crisps from travelling shop, as he said i often return to the echos of that house long ago in co. mayo I had nothing owned nothing yet I was happy as larry just shows you how life has changed today i have everything in modern england internet tv phone , . . mobile etc , yet i'm not as happy as away back then.

Even though they haven't changed that much, I think the girl who played Elizabeth has changed the least. In fact, she looks like she's only in her 30's, not in her 40's.

This was my favorite show. Thursdays at 9pm. It was the best show. If you hate this show, you have no idea what good television is, and I feel sorry for those of you that "hate" it. Your loss.
