I set the camera up to take a photo a minute while we built this deck. Sadly, I forgot to set it up on Day 1 until we were partway through, and once or twice we worked longer than the camera battery did, but by and large we got it all. And then I had to edit it down to its present length.

  • Yes, we used pressure treated 2x4's - height restrictions on the sliding door, as you noticed - but they were 20" on centre, not 24". The original design was 16" on centre, but Dave, our foreman, deemed 20" sufficient. And so far it's still solid as a rock.

  • It looks good but it looks like you framed it with 2x4's and 2 foot on center I can see the height off the slider you couldn't good higher but did this thing hold up should have been 12" or 16" on center framing it with 2x4 love to know.
