Hobby King Trooper Truck Review Before & After Tacon 3500KV Brushless Motor On 2S & 3S Lipo

This review features before and after footage of a Hobby King Trooper Short Course Truck with both the stock brushless 2080KV motor and a Tacon 3650/3500KV brushless motor. I also upgraded the wheels and tires to larger diameter rims/lower profile tires. Gearing is stock 14t pinion. Video features the truck on both 2S & 3S Lipo power. As you will see the stock EZRun 35A ESC will only put up with so much!!! Watch for more updates to this project truck as I have already placed an order for an uprated 60A ESC. The truck is fun stock, and absolutely stupid fast on 3S with the Tacon! For $25 the Tacon motor is impossible to beat price/performance. In the final segment of the video I was barely able to apply full throttle to this truck on 3S, I would guess top speed is easily around 45mph+. When you apply full throttle even when the truck is @ speed it just squats and goes. To me it seems quite a bit faster than my Savage Flux 2350 which I run using (2) 5200mah Zippy 30C 2s Lipos. For a cheap & fun 4x4 SC Truck this is hard to beat!

@xboxluva22 It would but if you are looking to purchase a BL system I say save the cash and go with a Tacon BL in this budget truck....trust me it is a killer motor for the money and you will save plenty with Tacon vs Velineon

@xboxluva22 Look for something 60A or greater (preferably greater if you plan on using 3s lipos primarily) - HobbyKing or HobbyPartz good place to start. Hobbywing ESC are great value. Realize though that 3s WILL shred this truck into pieces much faster than 2s

yeah great review i keet thinkin about 1 a these every time i buy stuff from h/k but i allready got way to many rc`s but sc is great fun , how are these compared to your jammin scrt10 ? broken much on the trooper or jammin ? cheers bud
