Thanks for this series, it was very informative!

@762full no it will come apart in the barrel or once it leaves the barrel not having any chane of hitting your target
and one part could get stuck in the barrel not good
-
@762full when loading flechettes you need a special sabot or you will damage your barrel
-
@psyex naa just be careful i was bare foot and it did make a nice burn that made a dent in the skin
i do it in shorts all the time but would skip the sandels and go for shoes
-
@camerl2009 Whoa wholy crap dude. I was thinking I would just cast in shorts and sandels because it is hot out but, your post made me reconsider, work boots it is. It is not a mistake if we all learn from it, my dad always said....

@benisbob Yes it sorta looks weird and sometimes crumbles.

Thank You SIR!!!! I have been looking for a good video on Bullet casting that is not done by some Jackass in his kitchen. You are very knowledgable and answered most if not all of my questions. I appreciate the effort that you went through to record this series for those of us just getting started. I appreciate it very much. Thanks Again!!!

@762full im guessing it would because where the layers of lead are connected would be a weak part of the bullet
Does anyone know where its possible to buy small tungsten darts or flaschettes?
Do they make them for shot shells?

@762full You can find them online from different sources. I never had much experience with them and the ones I have shot from a 12 gauge were less than impressive. There had been some good progress in this particular field with darts in the past years, but nothing that can bring them to the same level as conventional projectiles yet. It still would be fun to experiment with.

can you order any lee mould in the six cavity
OregonBackpacker 1 year ago
@OregonBackpacker Lee makes their most popular molds in 6 cavity. Browse on Midway USA or other sites to see what they have. I do believe they make limited runs on the less popular molds every once in a blue moon as well.

If you fill the cast up half way (and wait for it to solidify) and then pour in the the rest, would it somehow make the bullet more likely to fragment during shooting?
What if you filled up 1/3, 2/3 and then 3/3? Would you get a bullet that fragments into 3 pieces because the metal cooled off in 3 different segments?

@762full I'm not sure if it would work or not. It would be fun to try though!
