@paranoid492 in my opinion , this space in between what's semi professional and professional is smaller now. d7000 is all we want. go to... freedsl r . co m remove spaces and try to get an opportunity win a Brand New Nikon D7000

Sir. You have Pronounced "NIKON" 100%/100% as defined by Expert English Linguistics. Example: The "Vowel O" in NIKON forces the "I" letter to become a "HARD "I"" NOT a Soft "I". So, your pronounciation of "NYEKON" is 100%/100% Linguistics Grammer FULLY Correct!! It is NOT any Mrs. Nickon, or a Snicker's Chocolate Bar "Neekon". It is a Genuine Scientific Digital Photographic/Video Instrument Pro-DSLR. Your Pronounciation of "NYEKON" or "NIKON" is the CORRECT ABSOLUTE Pronounciation!!!!

Comes down with it.At the end of a wedding the photos/Not what camera you have.I used a D90 for a wedding they came out great. I did have great glass. I did have a D300 but used he D90 . D700 is agreat camera but I think I will wait for a new NIKON. Thats why I have a D90 for a 2nd back up.A good lens 70-200 vr lens. will make any camera shine. I did book 2 weddings from that wedding. I was just trying out the D90 and it rocks.

I agree with everything you're saying but my question for you is this:
Why spend the money on a D300 or D300s? Its the non-professional DX format. You say that the D300 is meant for experienced photographers, which I also agree with, but I think it acts more as a filler space for the jump from the D90 to the higher model FX-formatted cameras.
If you're going to spend $1600 on a camera (D300s), why not just go real pro and get a D700? Its a $400 difference for 100x more camera.

@wdahm519 the d300 is a lot less expensive now so that is still a good camera to get if you want the speed of a more professional camera but dont have the money for a d700, but if it comes down to the d700 and d300s then i would just jump to the d700. The only problem then is you have to pay a much larger price for good fx lenses.
