  • And also I think that they should stop with the Jesus Christ stuff. As a christian Superman Returns didn't sit right with me. Before Superman the movie Jor-el sent his son to earth to save his ass. Not to save humanity and that's how I prefer it. When they started all that " they are a good people and I sent you to show them the way stuff" I felt dirty

  • well for me i think for a reboot it should be a little bit of both. not the whole jesus parallel part, just half of it being so he could save clark and the other half sending him to help a 'doomed race'. i think superman returns did the christian thing but we need a knew sort of parallel, or why do we even need one at all? He's Superman, he doesn't need to necessarily become similar to another heroic figure, if anything, heroic figures are similar to him

  • I disagree Clark Kent is the man not Kal-el or Superman. His being raised by his human parents made him who he is. Batman is more like what your saying Batman is the man Bruce Wayne is the mask . Bruce Wayne died with his parents and is a means to a end. Darksied. Is the only villan that can push Sups to the brink. We need an invasion from apocalypes

  • see i don't think darkseid's the only one who can push superman to the brink. I mean think of Bizarro, where he's literally fighting himself, or Doomsday where he's just going to keep coming back stronger?

  • I WILL NOT STAND BY AND LET TIM BURTON TOUCH SUPERMAN, kevin smith however or j.j. abrams go ahead, brian singer i liked alot, and if he had the chance to do another he would do it well, kate bosworth was pathetic as lois lane agreed fucking nancy bitch

  • i think that tim burton is great at dark or twisted stuff, but that's just not what superman is. it's a simple but epic, you know what I mean?

  • I agree his story stands on it's own no need to make him like Jesus. I remember in the old comics like back in the 40s wasn't it about saving their son and not humans? I mean the only doomed planet is Krypton lol earth gets along just fine. But really I think a reboot should involve Smallville . When I think of Sups Welling comes to mind. Cris Reeves doesn't and Routh doesn't even exist to me

  • Great ideas. I love 3 of them.

1 Erica Durance is Lois Lane. A strong, fearless woman.

2 There are better challenges than Kryptonite.

3 Superman is big. Being upstaged by Batman means poor film execution.

My big inspiration from Superman is that here is someone who, thogh not like us, who could take anything he wanted, chooses instead to be a boyscout. That is a great inspiration for people with high ambitions.

I agree w chestveeg, Clark is the guy, and w Hammer, Burton? Noooo

  • dont get me wrong tim burton is good at what he does, its just he would ruin superman if he pulled a tim burton type tale on it, i know what you mean

  • Yup. Needs to be a new direction. (J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, Nolan's The Dark Knight) Also liked the line from the Dark Knight with "Not the superman film we needed". Also, Zod and/or Brainiac and also Luther as the main villain. Identity- One actor playing Superman and one playing Kent(the whole alter ego thing was a challenge for him in the comics as a human side) kinda like Billy Batson and Captain Marvel. God among men: The only villain I think of is Metallo.

  • I think that if they have another Superman movie they should leave Luthor out of it. The guy has been in every Superman movie (except for 3 which was only because Hackman wasn't available) and fans are tired of seeing him over and over in the movies. I think Brainiac would be a much better choice as villian for the next Superman villian.
