  • Battle is the very best in Let the Bright Seraphim. Her silvery and pure voice, her dazzling coloratura technique, and her sweet timbre, suits this piece like no-one else can. Kiri is really good, but her coloratura is a little "forced" and Sutherland, besides her coloratura skills, just vocalises the piece, one cannot understand a single word of what she's singing.

  • Good singing by Lucy Crowe but favorite rendition of this aria is by Joan Sutherland. Kathleen Battle's interpretation is also high up there.
