A collection of my favorite videogame music. Note that most of them are from games I played so I might miss some great ones from games I never played.

  • And here's the 3rd and final game people are trying to convince Nintendo of America to bring here. The soundtrack has a lot of chants/vocals in it, like this final boss theme. This one grew on me, fighting against the final boss with this playing must be pretty epic.

  • I gotta say, vocal boss themes are the best ever. Nothin is as powerful as a full choir IMO

  • @baschfire

Seriously! i mean look at star wars episode 1 and duel of fates (thats what its called right) made that fight 5 times mmore awesome

  • @Baghnal It depends. I think this song is really epic and grand, it just has a different mood than One-Winged Angel. What really makes the difference are the circumstances when it's played.

  • @Evilriku13 It's a "contrast", it's used pretty often when you want to make something grotesque.

  • it sounds... kinda happy for a final boss battle theme o_o

  • @luvtehcomix

Well, the level in which you fight the final boss looks rather happy, strangely enough. Oh, and the boss itself is rather "grand and soaring". Pretty much par for the course with this particular final boss.

  • @SoopahUltraTV You sir have very excellent intentions.

  • @baschfire final boss of ffxiii

  • I think square had to push this game's release back because of the failure that is Final Fantasy 14 online. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

  • I don't exactly know the tone of the game, and I definitely don't know the context of this boss, but I'm just not getting "Final Boss" out of this. It's a lovely song, grand and soaring, but it just feels too happy, it reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle.

  • Now this is a wonderful piece of music. It kind of gives me the feeling that Final Destination in Brawl did. A kind of sound that's enchanting and sweeping, but also has the quintessential (final) battle tone to it. The vocals are superb~. I guess I need to hunt down the OST for the game...
