Nine years of martial law was harsh. Our ancestors have been through alot: Spanish colonization, Philippine-American War, WWII, Batas Militar, and authoritarianism that last for two decades.

all leaders who was then president of the philippines were also contributed a lot, but as you can see that philippines is being run by businessman, they ned to choose leaders that could protect thier businesses...kaya nga yong iba dyan hindi tama magpasuweldo...iba na talaga nagyon given na mayrong pagbabago piro mahirap parin tayo. we are being enslave by our own land.

Tell that to Dlacaden, our favorite vacuum-head! LOL! No matter what kind of exhortation we make, bulag pa rin yun! A true blue one-eyed blind man! Lately he ranted again on my post, uninvited that is, his tactic to come accross with his usual drivel. Hope he can read what you posted as a wake-up call. Cheers!

Pinoys do not forget the Marcos regime which trampled on peoples rights and liberties that sucked the economy dry and left Philippines in a disastrous state.

Unfortunatelly Gloria Arroyo, Mike Arroyo and Mikey Arroyo All want to declare Martial Law in 2010 after they hire the hackers to rig the Election. Well we will see another repeat i 2010 with Mikey Arroyo Taking office . Even though the offical Ballots would say Noynoy vs. Gilbert. In reality its Noynoy Vs. Mikey. This time Mikey will sell the Country to China, USA and Saudi Arabia. Mike will continue with his ponzi scheme. Mike Arroyo is Imelda with Male parts.

What Sen. Salonga said was really inspiring. He's absolutely right...one must struggle for freedom, and, as he said, must fight for it always.
Never again...Kahit pa sabihin na maganda ang "Bagong Lipunan" noon...kahit na...ang kapalit ay matindi...ang pagpatay sa kalayaan at demokrasya.

Tama ka dyan Giboy. As the saying goes, "the road to hell is paved with the best of intentions." Marcos may have wanted to improve the lives of Filipinos; but due to his inability to let go of the presidency by declaring martial law under false pretenses, everything just fell apart. Sadly in the end, he did more harm than good!
That's what you get if you're GREEDY. Let this be a lesson to everyone. Marcos gave meaning to the quote "absolute power corrupts absolutely."
