I don't know any of the band members personally - I just had their EP on my HDD and since there were no music tracks of Winterfell uploaded on Youtube, I felt like I'm supposed to share their music with the community. :P However, I agree with you in each point you listed up here.

@hallows99 This song is from their 2003 DEMO. They released a full length album in 2007 which showcases a more mature and "own" sound and shows more (technical) talent than all of Iced Earth's albums combined. And I'm a huge Iced Earth fan, so that's saying something. Well, used to be, anyway... Unfortunately the band split up not long after the album's release.
