@lexy67flc Ah right. Ok. :)

@accadaccasuperstar I would never for one moment suggest that Keith wasn't king of the drums. But if you compare him to, say, a pure jazz drummer, then he doesn't have the discipline for it. But for sheer excitement and musical nous, nobody but NOBODY comes close to Keith and never will, in my book. And I LOVE Young Man Blues, but I prefer his performance in Sparks most times. Amazing!

@lexy67flc Not the most technically able? Listen to Young Man Blues from the "Live at Leeds" album. That concretes himself as the king of drums!

@lexy67flc and rare seeing him using a hi hat...

It is truly a shame that the footage that was aired on Shindig from the Who's appearance at Richmond has completely dissapeared from the face of the Earth of the Who doing 'My Generation.'
America had never seen such a performance on TV, and it revolutionized and already alienated youth to even greater alienation from normal 'society' for that time period.
That footage should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame............it sent a shock wave across America.

Bless him...speeding his tits off LOL!
I do love the way he tells Roger to 'fuck off' when he's putting the microphone all over that cymbal. I would have done too...don't mess with me instrument, MATE!
Even then, and they hadn't been playing together too long, he still played intuitively with the bass and the guitar. Maybe not the best technical drummer in the world, but certainly the one with the most passion and 'feel' of any drummer I've seen.
RIP Moonie x
