Behind the Scenes of the "Going Gold" Music Video for Healthier US School Challenge

We are hard at work on an original song and video for District 300 in Carpentersville, IL. One of their elementary schools is "Going Gold" with the Healthier US School Challenge-- improving their school lunch menus, providing 90 minutes of PE each week, and offering an approved nutrition education curriculum. These are changes that make me want to sing and dance! I'm so happy to use my rock 'n roll approach to nutrition to call attention to this dynamite school district. To meet her "Let's Move" campaign objectives, Michelle Obama challenged American schools to increase participation in the Healthier US School Challenge by half. Golfview Elementary School in District 300 would be the first non-charter school in Illinois to reach gold. Can they do it? Stay tuned!
