not painful, but definitely the absolutely most uncomfortable experience of my life

Aww yuck!!!

I did this surgery for 10 days ago on my left eye I had -16.1
I cant say that I see better than i used to see with my hard contact lenses... so i am not that happy ... its ok that i dont need to use lenses but i would be happy if i could see better.

@EliteDefenseInc Well because in my line of work glasses were not possible due to the conditions I worked in. My high script also means that with glasses my field of vision was very limited and the actual glasses were very heavy.
Also with my script being very high with astigmatism I was not a candidate for lasik.
With regards to the risk, yes I know this is a new technology however this is simply a variation of the lenses that are used to treat cataracts.
How many doctors? >200 when I got mine.

@EliteDefenseInc Whilst I respect your right to your own thoughts but you also have to respect my own choices as well.
Having marked allergies and not being able to wear contacts anymore, plus the joy of scrabbling round for my glasses every morning this was the perfect solution for me.
I understood the consent and complications. It is not fair to pull out the vanity card not knowing the circumstances that lead to the operation.

lol at 3:51 looks like a face where the blood is
@DrGFS how did you manage to keep your eye still??

@Justdontaskmewhat I think the sedatives helped but there was a dressing that went onto the eye that helped keep everything in place.
