I did this surgery for 10 days ago on my left eye I had -16.1
I cant say that I see better than i used to see with my hard contact lenses... so i am not that happy ... its ok that i dont need to use lenses but i would be happy if i could see better.
@DrGFS how did you manage to keep your eye still??

@Justdontaskmewhat I think the sedatives helped but there was a dressing that went onto the eye that helped keep everything in place.

people think about this. Does it really seem like a good idea to do this to a healthy eye? Please. What happens in 10 years? who will pay to fix this down the road. Dont trust these unethical hacks with your eyes. They do it for profit. Nothing more. Long term side effects are not know. Why take this risk with something as important as your eyes? Vanity.

@EliteDefenseInc Whilst I respect your right to your own thoughts but you also have to respect my own choices as well.
Having marked allergies and not being able to wear contacts anymore, plus the joy of scrabbling round for my glasses every morning this was the perfect solution for me.
I understood the consent and complications. It is not fair to pull out the vanity card not knowing the circumstances that lead to the operation.

@DrGFS so you would take this risk with your eye for what then? Glasses work. They are safe. They can be changed when you eyes change. It just seems like an unnecessary risk. What happens in 10 years? I am very leery on trusting what the guy who selling this says. How many doctors have actually gotten this done? Probably none.

@EliteDefenseInc Well because in my line of work glasses were not possible due to the conditions I worked in. My high script also means that with glasses my field of vision was very limited and the actual glasses were very heavy.
Also with my script being very high with astigmatism I was not a candidate for lasik.
With regards to the risk, yes I know this is a new technology however this is simply a variation of the lenses that are used to treat cataracts.
How many doctors? >200 when I got mine.
