This song gives me chills, every time I listen to it.
It's a song about the prisoners of the Nazi Deathcamps, and especially KZ Buchenwald.
I made this video in the memory of the Soviet PoW's, a totally forgotten group that was a victim during the Holocaust.
first couplet:
People of the world, stand up for a moment!
Listen to it: It is buzzing from all sides --
Bells, chimes
It revived and strengthened
In copper roar righteous blood.
These victims came alive from the ashes
And rose again, and rose again!
And they rose
And rose
And rose again!

There is no way I could've said it better.

This is a great example of a classic, Russian song.
It's doleful and sad in tone with strong, enunciated words. First it focuses on the tragedy then rising forward with a magnificent crescendo with glory for the martyred dead and hope for victory in the future.
