  • Many steering arms have a flat machined right onto them where they WANT you to hit the arm with a hammer to free the tie rod stud from its conical cavity.

  • oh bloody bosstid scaly wag, cherios.

  • I always use a hammer and tie rod fallout at second hit!

  • For those that choose to go ahead and use hammers and bars go ahead and waist your time and money ruining parts.

  • I dont know about the american cars, but as for european cars i can hardly see that fit over any ball joint than the ones on the steering rods.

And for most wishbones the will hardly be able to put on.

Ill stick with my hammers and leavers.

  • i think i'd stick to my leaver bars and hammers; time is money..
