Honoring Street Fighter 4, I bring you a series of epic battles from past Capcom titles and other games influenced by Street Fighter. This is "Power Moves"(1992, Kaneko), a somewhat unknown fighting game
from the early 90s. I mean honestly, how many people who owned a SNES can actually even remember this obscure title? Some of the characters are kinda cool though, and a few level designs aren't too shabby. One crappy thing is that you can only play as one character "Joe" in single player mode, which is extremely lame. You get all these characters to choose from and fight against, but you can't use any of them except in multiplayer? Bull shizzle! It's not really a horrendous game, but it doesn't stand out in any way either. I mean with competition like this, no wonder "Street Fighter 2" remained king throughout the 90s.
The 1 player only arcade mode is a tribute to the original street fighter's 1 player arcade mode. Which was also a staple for the majority of fighting games throughout the 80's such as Yie Ar Kung fu and Karate Champ.
Building up character stats, two plane arenas , colourful characters and most of all...timeless
music definitely made this obscure gem stand out.
I wish people would of took more time to enjoy gems like this then label them as rip offs back in the day.

I've heard about this game, and have even seen still shots of it., but never have I seen it in play. It seems ok. I might wanna put that Joe character in my old school MUGEN roster...
