Mr. Ollan Christopher Bell has been in the entertainment business since 1961 and has been in the business for more than 40 years.
As most of the African American artists his singing background comes from the church and his mother's teachings who was a professional singer. At the age of 10 he started playing the bass guitar and at the age of 12 he made his first vocal solo.
During the 1970´s he performed and shard stage with artist such as Earth Wind and Fire, The Temptations, Kool and the Gang, The Isely Brothers, his former producer Curtis Mayfield among others. With more than 200 songs composed and distributed in various albums throughout the world he also has trained and produced singers from Paris Japan England and the US.
In 1987 he is married to none other than John Lee Hooker's Daughter Zakiya Hooker (also a performing artist available for hiring) producing all of her albums and Administering the BWTH (Boogie with the Hook) recording studio to which he is Vice President of and also The John Lee Hooker Foundation. Foundation dedicated to the musical education, development and health of children and new artists.
In the late 90' he became the right hand man, and helped produce projects with the legendary, grammy winning, John Lee Hooker.
Nowadays he finds himself touring around the world specially in places like Argentina South America where he has become a well recognized artist. At the same time he has also ventured into Asia in countries like Thailand with shows in Bangkok and co producing Blues festivals in the Island of Koh Samui together with the Cocoblues Company. He is also giving clinics for singers and talks on the history of Afro American music.

Como la mayoría de los afro-americanos comenzó su carrera musical cantando en la iglesia y obtuvo sus primeras enseñanzas de su madre, quien también era una cantante profesional. Aprendió a tocar el bajo a la edad de 10 y a los 12 años hizo su primer solo vocal.
Durante los años 70 se ha presentado en escena con artistas como Earth Wind & Fire, The Temptations, Kool & The Gang, The Isley Brothers y Curtis Mayfield entre otros.
Con más de 200 canciones distribuidas en variados álbumes a lo largo de su carrera, ha trabajado y preparado a artistas de Paris, Japón, Inglaterra y Estados Unidos.
En los 80 se convierte en productor y mano derecha del legendario John Lee Hooker acompañándolo en su relanzamiento artístico, cosechando varios Premios Grammy por sus producciones.
Tiempo después (en 1987) contrae matrimonio con su hija, Zakiya Hooker, a quien en la actualizad produce y administran juntos en California la Fundación de la cual es Vicepresidente BWTH INC (Boggie With The Hook) y su labor esta dedicada responder a las necesidades de niños y jóvenes en las áreas de arte, educación y salud, junto al desarrollo de artistas y nuevos talentos.
Actualmente gran parte del año se encuentra de gira por el mundo junto a su banda "NATURAL FOUR", realizando conciertos solistas y clínicas musicales con el objetivo de difundir las tradiciones más fuertes de la música negra.
2007 -- TENDERLY (Nuevo Álbum)
Acompañado por Greg Pierson en Piano, Ron Belcher en Bajo y Babatunde Lea en Batería, en este álbum Mr. Bell se aparta de su tradicional estilo soul para incursionar con muy buen paladar por el mundo del jazz a través de piezas memorables del genero como Sentimental Journey, Gerogia on my mind, All of me y Tenderly, son algunos de las 12 canciones que componen el álbum.
