when you do your makeup for a tutorial, do you keep it on for a while or do you wash it off immediately, especially for looks as extreme as this one?

Random question, When you put on lipstick...Then any sort of lipgloss, if you use the wand from it...dosent putting it back in the tube without cleaning it change the color of the actual lipgloss (this has bothered me for years seeing people put lipgloss over lipstick with the actual wand and not a disposable).
