  • At 6:45 you can see his left wrist is cuffed (not flat) and his hands are behind the ball. According to key fundamentals, this is a catastrophic flaw.. Any tips on how to keep that nice rythmic flow while at the same time keeping the hands forward, left wrist flat, and being able to get the most power out of the swing? I have been an advocate of the shawn clement school over a year, but have exactly the same flaw. It's frustrating to feel I get solid contact, but go to video & see the mistake

  • @oscarramiro The Key here Oscar is that the swing is always a work in progress and the grip is often an area that is very difficult to change; he does not have the right grip size here and when he does, his grip will improve and THEN, HE WILL BE ABLE TO HINGE BOTH WRISTS TOGETHER IN THE BACKSWING which will prevent the left wrist from cupping too much; then the importance is to make sure you swing to the target with a nice snap! Shawn

  • Hi Shawn love these videos, I have used alot of your tips but for some reason I have the worst slice in the world, however on the odd occasions that I do hit the ball correctly I hit it long long way. IE a 9iron over 150 yards. Could you suggest any of your videos which might help me out...

  • Man, this tells me there could be many things going on, grip needs to be spot on, tilt of body has to be braced properly, you need to feel that snap past the ball etc...You need to order my dvd series to make sure everything is set up in priority sequence; in the meantime, see "golf pro lesson taut swing philosophy"; it will help get you on the right track;

  • David: I'm going to check out CraptoScratch. It's a very ambitious plan.

    I'm also working on a specific goal: To drop from a 14 to a 7 by the end of 2010. All on a limited time budget.

    You're in good hands working with Shawn. Good luck to you.

  • Shawn - I'm a huge fan of the DVDs and your swing teaching. I noticed a comment below about slicing and another about lack of power. For me, it took really embracing the toss and fall on the back swing. In addition, if I didn't keep my left arm straight, it lead to problems. Those two points were key. And the feet together drill has been the best thing ever. It forces me to turn instead of shifting laterally and that give me so much power. Thanks for the great teachings.

  • @clemshaw

    Thanks Shawn I have ordered the DVD and have checked out a few other videos, its going the right way, but work in progress... Thanks again

    Conor

  • Right on Joe!!

    Thanks, Shawn

  • See my general video on the swing philosophy called "golf pro lesson taut swing philosophy" and the snuff boxes you will see in the "golf pro lesson grip 2 wrist hinge" video; now if you are suffering with power, you need to get your hands on my dvd series because it has all the important info in priority sequence so that you don't miss anything important; lots you have not seen yet on you tube either; Shawn
