Cuba's excellence in dance is because the country dedicates resources to the arts, as it does to literacy, education, health care, and organic agriculture because the Cuban people have a different value system than we do in the US. I have been there, I have performed there. I am an artist, not a politician, but I know that politics and art impact each other.
