this was before Valene had that accident which caused her to act nice sometimes and totally not herself the next.

Sadly, she bumps her head and goes crazy right after this sweet scene. I remember when Gary asked Val to marry him for the last time. He said "The third time's the charm."lol I watched this serie from 1982 until it ended. It used to drive me crazy. Just when you thought they were getting back together, something (or someone) would happen to mess it up. Still, that's what makes for good drama and keeps the audience interested.

It's sad that Gary and Val were the only ones with the happy ending. I really loved Bobby and Pam too.

Possibly the greatest soap of all time. These were people you really cared about. 30 years later we still love them

Thanks for that ,looking forward to season 2 DVD in April,was great when Val came back from the "dead"in the last episode of KL.

Looking back in their own way, Gary and Valene's love was much more solid than JR's was with Sue Ellen. Gary never made Val feel that she was nothing without him which was alot more than could be said about JR.
