This delicious screwball comedy by Peter Bogdanovich brings together for the first time Barbra and Ryan. In this scene Barbra is actually trying to score a free meal... Miss (Hans or Fritz) Velasquez, the lady in the dreadful leopard hot pants, is another special treat.

  • No matter how much Barbra dislikes this movie. This is the best comedy role she ever did.

This movie has it all and hey, it takes place in the great San Francisco! :-)

  • 1:24 It's BOSS HOGG! This is a great movie!!!!

  • This is such a great and innocent movie. I remember it well from my childhood. Have seen it several times over the years and it never gets boring.

  • Streisand should have stuck with comedy. She is a gifted comedian but takes herself too seriously. Films like Nuts and Prince of Tides are huge bores.

  • @StoneyEnd444 Mabel Albertson, aged 71 when this film was made. Pretty good, huh??

  • @TheCatgirl6 Yes, many people know that too. She must have been about 71 in this film, as she was born in 1901. I think she's in pretty good shape. She looks younger than she did in Bewitched.

  • Oh, I LOVE IT!!!

  • I saw this movie with a church youth group when I was 12. Took my parents to see it a few days later. Rented and watched it with my children (against much protest) when they were in their teens. This movie has the greatest chase seen ever.

  • Really ? I thought Barbra was terrific in this.

  • @treg1980 I find that amazing- she's utterly brilliant in this role- I cannot imagine anyone else doing Judy Maxwell as hilariously as Barbra did it.

It's so disappointing to hear that since it's my very favourite movie of my childhood and I've always liked her character... I shouldn't have asked you. :)

I cannot imagine how can an actress do such a great job, and dislike what she does at the same time...
