This is a video and some pic's taken during the Blizzard of 2010. If there was any type of slow down iam pretty sure these guys didnt get the memo because you can see their hard at work. Blizzard came down fast and by the time Sanitation truck went down one side of the street or high way on the other side cars were stuck on and vice versa. After a few hours into the blizzard Sanitation trucks were now stuck themselves. The biggest Problem was the plows on the trucks was set up to prevent snow and ice from shooting upward and from damaging cars and property but made them weaker which cause the plows to trip and not plow the snow properly. Now you combine that with large amout of snow and small chains and you get "city-wide" trucks getting stuck. This Sanitation worker got stuck for 8 hours the first night of plowing and 5 hour the second night. They attempted to get him out the first 4 hours but the Front end loader got stuck , they had to get another front end loader to get the first one out, then they came came back 4 hours later to get him out. Not that they when to Coop or sleep or slow down , it was cause they had to get other trucks who was stuck but easier to get out.
Hey, I didn't know DSNY did snow removal. This past winter sucked. Thanks for your help.

People are too stupid to understand reality. I gave up explaining it to them what really happened. They think what they know and believe as the truth.
