One of the high spots of the Route 66 trip Seligman, Arizona was once a railroad boomtown that shipped cattle to market, Seligman got another boost when Route 66 brought car-loads of tourists to town. But it received a double whammy when the interstate replaced Route 66 and the railroad closed its station. While Seligman hasnt bounced back to its glory days, buses full of tourists many from Europe and Japan have brought a level of prosperity back to town.
Getting a haircut from Angel Delgadillo is a true honor. I got one. And Angel had me on his Xmas card list. We're good friends. Seligman is a Great stop. Juan was a true cut-up; I'm glad I got to know him before he died.
