Messiah College, Andrew Exner's Senior Recital, April 9, 2010
He sets down the mighty from their seats and exalts the humble.
Bach's Magnificat, was composed in 1723 for the Christmas Vespers in Leipzig, but was later edited to make it suitable for year-round performance. The text comes from Luke 1:46-55, commonly known as the Canticle of Mary.
Andrew Exner, tenor
Daniel Glessner, Harpsichord
Lindsey Dye, Violin
Gregory Glessner, Violin
Cimone Phillips, Violin
Craig Kile, Bassoon
Bit of a blip at the beginning, but we picked it back up. Nothing like some nerves at the beginning of a recital :) My personal nod to everything before the Romantic in my last recital before I leave it all behind...
