In late June of 2007, I, with a friend, went to the Rochelle Railroad Park for the first time.

The action was heavy, and the longest time between trains that we waited was 90 minutes during some track work on the UP.

We spent an evening and day in Rochelle, spending 4 hours the first day, 14.5 hours the second day.

In this final part, cover the final hours of the day. We see the return of the BNSF local, A surprise for me was a reunion with UP 6741, "The Big Bang" unit that I shot in Kirkwood Missouri blowing a piston...and the final train train of the day has 3 of the UP's Heritage units.

For the Big Bang video, its here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAKbkU9l-xE

  • Yes! In a Heartbeat!

  • I live right next to the BNSF tracks in Rochelle. Absolutely great. Girlfriend hates it but I love it.

  • I love trains to death but tell me something in all honesty, would you live in that house on the other side of the tracks there ? :)
