Sandy McKee!!! Crazy drummin'. Saw this band live in Portland OR 1970.....and Lydia.....you made the house feel so good!!!! I was playing at a decent club in Portland in 1972. Went to a Denny's about 2am and there was Cold Blood and most of Tower hanging out. I got stage fright!!!!!!

@SuperbCurmudgeon God bless for bein' with my bro' in Nam! Thank you 4 your service sir!!!

I always liked Lydia's voice better than Janis's...more control.

Not the best audio, but given the year, it's not bad at all. This band and Santana got me through Viet Nam. And, Unlike Janis Joplin of the same area and time, Lydia's still singing, not to mention breathing... ;-)

Always loved Lydia's long hair! Sorry she isn't better remembered today.

One of the best bands in the 60's. There music is still as good today!!!!

I still get chills when I listen to Lydia sing. So much power & soul packed into that voice. She was and still is the real deal.
The band & crew played some good games of baseball at Red Hill School, too. Life was more fun back then.

Cold Blood's first two albums got me through 'Nam. I think I had a crush on Lydia Pense. I thought she out Janised Janis. I'm sorry the sound isn't up to snuff on this cut, but the point is made. This was one very significant R&B band. And they are still cooking!

So much POWER from such a petite frame!!! Saw her in Chicago in early 70's and fell in love!

saw them on the pbs special and i was like WHY DON'T we know about this band?? enjoyed this performance.
Wish to hell someone would post Lydia doin "I just wanna make love to you" from "Fillmore Last days". I've never heard anyone do the kinda justice Lydia does to it-not ever!
