(though of course we project ourselves as ahab until we learn better, if'n we do - "ahab's quenchless feud seemed mine".) ah, wisdom after the event - time to get some of it before the event? have our own "plots"? "i'm nobody, who are you, are you nobody too?", as, approximately, Ms. Dickinson has it ...
