Tenor Michael Hayes sings the ever-popular aria "Nessun Dorma" from Puccini's "Turandot" in the 2004 Virginia Opera production that earned Mr. Hayes critical acclaim. The aria is most recently known as the piece that secured victory for salesman-turned-vocalist Paul Potts in the popular British television series, "Britain's Got Talent."

Orchestra provided by the Virginia Symphony. Visit www.vaopera.org for current performance information.

  • @crimdell Frank Porretta

  • I saw this performance, as well as Va. Opera's previous production years earlier. The earlier performance had a guy named Frank (something) in this role. I thought that performance was much better than this one, although this one is very good. Frank's performance caused the audience to erupt into applause even more than this one.

  • sounds like a german trained tenor.

  • Bravo Michael!! Sounds great!!!

  • this is quite well sung! bravo!

  • this is a great song...
