It seems the Armitage Shanks Ventura pan is even better with a flapper valve. The flapper is a Fluidmaster Adjust-a-flush handle adaptor.
Here I have set it up inside due to the weather, and raised the Elan cistern up a bit more and the bowl on a towel so I can get the water collection bowl out with no troubles.
First off you get a look at the rim of a Ventura, apologies if you couldn't see the holes at points, but mainly it's lots and lots of little holes, and 12 large holes, 3 at the front, 3 at the back, and 6 at the sides.
First flush is a normal one, 6 litres. Note how much more powerful it is and how much better it sounds.
Next we have a good one, a lot of cistern nuts and washers, and a lift arm etc, with a cloth on top. It all managed to flush completely, except the cistern badge. That seemed to float.
After is the tea towel and cloth test again, this tea towel was a bit heavier than the last one, which explains the wait before it went down, still, very good for a toilet.
Last bowl flush is what happens when I cover the flapper overflow, this gets interesting. The flush seems more powerful, and the flapper shuts quicker. It has a nice gurgle and after flush with this.
And of course, the cistern view.
I think the famous Toto Drake is inferior to this ...
Nice but nothing can beat Toto toilets.

I'm pretty sure a lot of toilets can.

Nice bowl! Like the 2nd flush the most - it built up pressure, then woosh!
Wouldn't the flush on a toilet be better if there was only one hole at the back?

Yep, the 2nd flush is nice, I quite like it.
Not really, there'd be more pressure there, but the whole bowl needs rinsing off from top to bottom to clean it, and the water hole needs clearing with all the water too.
