A parody of Don Perata and Fabian Nunez, (California's State Senate and Assembly), currently under federal investigation for accepting illegal contributions and spending YOUR tax dollars for their lavish lifestyles, buying houses, cars and taking Extravagant trips to Paris.

This is a political video not a video about homosexuality, It is for people who actually care about politicians having integrity, and for those who actually take the time to vote. If you don't understand the symbolism then people like you shouldn't be watching this video.

PS: obviously this isn't the Etrade baby, you should have thought of that when you clicked the one picture out of ten that wasn't a baby!

SACRAMENTO -- Setting the stage for a lengthy budget battle, Senate President Pro Tempore Don Perata yesterday called for a major tax increase to avoid deep cuts in school funding.

Perata, D-Oakland, said he has no specific proposal yet. But he suggested raising $5 billion in new revenue, possibly through a temporary increase in the sales tax.

"This is going to be the fight of a lifetime," Perata said during a news conference at a Sacramento school. "We are not going to be going anywhere this summer."

Nearly all of the Republican legislators, who must provide a handful of votes for the two-thirds approval needed for a budget, have signed a no-tax pledge.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said last week that he is willing to consider raising $2.5 billion for schools by closing "tax loopholes" -- dozens of deductions, credits and exemptions granted for various purposes.

But GOP legislators say "loophole" closures are a tax increase. Perata said that to protect school funding, Senate Democrats are willing to hold up a new budget for months after the fiscal year begins July 1.

Perata said the budget, after midyear cuts last month, has a shortfall of roughly $7 billion. He said $2 billion to $2.5 billion of the gap should be closed by spending cuts and the rest by new revenue.

The Senate leader said the sales tax is preferred by some because it is paid "a little bit at a time." A 1 percent increase in the sales tax -- now 7¾ cents for each $1 of a purchase in San Diego -- would yield about $5 billion statewide.
