Mel-O-Toons sometimes erroneously called "Mello Toons", was a series of animated cartoons produced in 1960 by New World Productions and syndicated by United Artists. It featured various folk tales, Greco-Roman myths, Biblical stories, some original stories by author Thornton Burgess, classic stories, even adaptations of classical music and ballet. The soundtracks were often taken from existing children's records, licensed from the original labels. 104 cartoons, each about 6 minutes long, were produced in limited animation.

@getyourkicks26 The Red Shoes is one of those elusive episodes, toonjet have had it on there listings and used to play it, as far as i know they were told to move it because of some copyright clam, why they chose The Red Shoes out of all the mel o toons is up for debate, I think it was to do with the vinyl copy, they may have the rights to the sound, no point in playing it with no sound. Toonjet will still have a copy, try getting it touch @ToonJet twiter / ToonJet.com

@grobarUskoci Was it a Mel-O-Toons production they dont seem to have it listed, they did base there cartoons on children's records from late 50's & 60'S, nearly all biblical themed. if its a different production team please let me know. i will dig for you. This is the people that carry a 3 party license for mel-o-toons ( Diva Video Access AG)
