Una de las canciones más bonitas jamás escrita. Se dice que existen más de 400 versiones, siendo quizá más conocida por su traducción inglesa "Beyond the sea". Su compositor, quien canta esta versión, Charles Trénet, falleció el 18 de febrero de 2.001.

like that lovely girl you started loving on a warm summer day... but then, summer break was over and you had to return to your plain, boring life. but every time you think about her, you remember the sea, and the shore on which you used to kiss and play... then your blank expression slowly becomes a smile and you think "la mer"
