Rory Sabbatini - Slow motion golf swing by Grexa Golf Instruction

From an instructors stand point, Rory has a very long golf swing. Generally, an instructor wouldn't want a student to swing the club as long as Rory does. However, it's not a bad thing if you know how to control it. A longer swing can certainly generate more power and club head speed, but again, you must know how to control it. The transition must be smooth and relaxed. The hands and wrists must remain passive and maintain good hinge. If you give away the hinge too soon, you'll risk throwing the club over the top and lose all the power and control over the club head.
