@TardsOfParadise Well, the rainforest situation is terrible, no doubt and it must stop but we don't have control over those countries. I hope the tree hugger types keep working on that. Beef is raised just fine here in the US with no rainforest. I too love nature and understand that it's health is important but, for me, PETA stands for people eating tasty animals. I don't eat a lot of beef but I'll eat it when I dang well feel like it!

@Bowskeecho 7 football fields of rainforest per minute and growing :) Yayy beef! Steak! Chicken! Pork! Yummy! Eating animals is so fun! I love being such a hypocrite when I say that I love animals and that's why I eat them.
Guys, seriously. Just follow your heart.

@TardsOfParadise And the % of inhabited ground is quite low, as well. This idea that we shouldn't eat meat.. that we're harming the earth, etc., is hysteria. The methodologies for farming, pesticides, (which are why you and I are even alive), mining, etc., are improving all of the time. The clear-cutting of the rainforest is a problem but that's being addressed, as well. Relax and enjoy. The earth is fine.

@Bowskeecho Thanks for the response. The Earth is covered mostly by water, but the parts we can live on, the land mass, we inhabit a considerable portion of.

@dorfmanae There are always going to be places & incidences where destruction happens- maybe you should travel a bit. You'll find lots of lovely areas & some that were abused. Yes, air will smell bad in some places- sometimes due to human activity, sometimes natural processes. In Yellowstone, fires happen naturally because of the volcanic activity & naturally occurring sulfur dioxide. They've learned NOT to put the fires out because it interrupts the natural process of renewal. Relax folks.

@TardsOfParadise Well, since humans only inhabit 7% of the earth... the United Nations is an incompetent organization that wants certain things to enrich itself. Yes, cattle need lots of grass to graze on. Ever notice how a farm is a lovely place because of the wide open spaces? Because I've been a dairy product nut my whole life, at 54, my bones are like those of a 30 year old. My blood pressure & cholesterol are low because I eat WHOLE grains, veges, fruit, etc. A lot of is is genetic.

@Bowskeecho Meat and dairy industry is currently using up 30% of the Earth's land mass just to produce meat and milk. Look it up, United Nations released this some time ago. Search "Meat eating wastes natural resources".
