thanks, souns like I may do an upgrade if it ever get's released ;-) , but as the VX8DR has been mentioned, it may be worth a look..

when is it coming out 2013? fed up of waiting yaesu is going to get my hard earned cash soon if its not sorted, come on boys chop chop

Could not wait anymore and bought a Yaesu VX8DR APRS HT... Anyway, if the kenwood provides the TMD710 features in a HT package i will surely change for the THD72 !
Does anyone know if the THD72 will be water or rain proof ? This matters to me, since i use HT mainly while hiking !

Is that a working model, or a mock-up, like they showed in the Japan hamvention? Anyone have a track point in APRS-IS yet? I'm curious to see the data sent out.
