There is an acknowledged achievement gap in the United States between the children of those who have resources and the children of those who lack resources. For the most part, the children who live in families that have financial resources have higher scores on standardized achievement tests than those children whose families lack financial resources. This gap manifests itself along racial lines. On this show two school superintendents discuss this achievement gap and outline what their districts are doing to close it.
