Hyakunin isshu (百人一首) is a traditional anthology style of compiling Japanese waka poetry where each contributor writes one poem for the anthology. Literally, it translates to "one hundred people, one poem [each]". It also refers to the card game of uta-garuta, which uses a deck composed of poems from one such anthology.

秋の田の(akinotano) 仮庵の庵の(karionoiono) 苫をあらみ(tomaoarami) わが衣手は( wagakoromodewa ) 露に濡れつつ(tsuyuninuretsutsu) a rice field in autumn, rush mat of this small hermitage is rough....sleeve of my cloth is getting wet for dewdrops

this poem is not a love poem,"on the surface".
sleeve of japanese ancient dress is long. and fields was very important at the ancient times.
I imagine lonliness scenery of autumn and rain.....and one lonely man.....he think something in small poor house .....his cloth is getting wet for dewdrops. but I think there is another hidden mean for this. metaphor.
his sleeve is getting wet.....means he is crying with tears. why?
maybe because he's thinking his love. he can't meet her.....
so this poem mean is......
in autumn, at the loneliness place, small poor house, lonely man,rain....tears. that's why his sleeve is getting wet.
scene move from large thing to small thing.
and words of sound is rythmical too. you can find 4times "no" around first in this poem.
"no" sounds like "oh...". "oh....oh...oh...oh......my sleeve is wet."
