Two things,
First, you should have put in a request for the 911 call if one was made and see if it even existed and then if so, if the cops were truthful about someone claiming you unholstered it.
Second, no matter what, you should file a complaint. When cops make mistakes or are out of line, its our duty to have it documented. They wield way too much power for them to be allowed to go unchecked.

despite NH being NH, there area lot of out of state cops here (and homegrown) who simply don't agree with citizens owning fire arms. And they WILL carry on with their OWN little agenda.

I know of a case where a police officer forced a law abiding citizen against his truck and began rifling his wallet while driving an elbow into the small of his back, inuring him when he discovered that he was carrying a handgun of which he had a permit to carry and d the lower part of the holster jutted below his vest. So this Hooksett cop held him against the truck while driving that elbow deep.

The old "somebody said" trick? So if the open carrier were to check with the Hooksett PD records there would be a voice recording of the call and a log entry?
Would a shoulder holster be a better option than a waist holster in that the carrier would be less likely to touch his weapon?

Creeps giving good cops a bad name. I would like to see them prosecuted for theft and unlawful detention.

the cops could have just said that there was a report of someone removing their gun from their holster. I would like to see some proof

I can see why the police were involved in this.
If there was a report that the gun was out of the holster, then they have to respond to that.
However, the police were way out of line here.
All they had to do was ask a question or two, get their answers, and leave.
Simple.
After all, no crime was committed.
It is legal to open carry.
The police broke the law in this matter.
The system which breaks the law every second, does not like people who know their rights.

No, you are innocent until PROVEN guilty. The system failed. He should not have been detained and had his weapon taken from him illegally. I would like to see these cops lose their badges.
