@CrystalxHoneydew not quite. its: Niwa likes Risa, Risa likes Dark, Dark likes Risa because she reminds him of someone he once knew and liked, and Riku likes Niwa. Niwa also kinda likes Riku, but doesnt no it himself.

If your talking about the kiss, I believe that was similar to how when daisuke was shown the picture of gramps he stopped transforming. to repel romantic feelings, if you get where I'm getting from, so he could stay dark and safely return home.
