  • Holy shit was that a real 303?!?!?!

  • The def. influenced (British) Acid Jazz bands like Incognito with their funk driven fusion R&B.

  • I loved Mai Tai and still do. Me and my cousins used to sing their songs (which we knew by heart) and do the dance routines. I am glad to see "What, where, when, who" in this clip. It is my fav song by them. I wish I could find other vids of it.

  • Classic of All Time!!!!

  • This great track never resolves to a I chord, and that's why it's so exciting, it never "lands" The chords go III, VI, II V, round and round, and the terrific vocal seems American, anything but Dutch

  • @Paardek*t : you are right. I was there as well Also that night a then upcoming band INXS from Australia played as well as Austrian ban Propaganda. I remember it to be a great night !!!

  • what where when who is the best song they ever did.........did they ever do a video for it?

  • I am pretty sure this was Veronica's Rock Night in 1986.

That night Propaqanda and The Frank Boeyen Groep also performed. I remember this vividly.

  • Thanks for uploading. Mai Tai made some great records in the mid eighties that have stood the test of time. One of my favourites is You Control Me from their first album.

Are you sure this performance is from the nineties? Mildred had already left the group then.
