Some of the old blaupunkt units used to light up with an amber backlit display,

Then when a strong stereo signal was detected the display used to change,

To a green backlit display,

This may or may not be the answer you are looking for,

Hi nice videos. I have a Blaupunkt Montreux RDR 49 which I am modifying for aux input. It appears to have both orange and green LED's for the display, but I don't know how to switch it from orange to green... Am I missing something obvious? Any help appreciated.

Here in Chile Legacys and others had the same radio, but i NEVER could undertand why auto reverse arrows point upd and down instead of left and right.

I love that tape deck with tape inserting fully (like Sentra)...
