I went to school with susaye in Queens, NY. I knew she was one of the Rayelettes. We wntb to see her perform at the Living Room(owned by Sammy Davis, Jr.). I never knew anything about her career after that. She was classicallyn trained but did the music she wanted to do. I'm proud of her.

OMG! Believe me when I tell you that this is in my top three favorite songs of all time This song actually brings tears to my eyes. She has one of the rare great sweet feminine voices that is so rare. Thank you Tim for posting and thank you Ms. Greene for sharing your gift with us! COME BACK BABY!

She sings like a fiery angel. She co-wrote "Free" for Deniece Williams, and "I Can't Help It" for Michael Jackson (with Stevie Wonder), was a member of Ray Charles' Raelettes, Stevie's Wonderlove, and then the Supremes (she was the only Raelette to sing at Ray's funeral). She and fellow ex-Supreme Scherrie Payne were backing vocalists on the Brothers Johnson LP "Light Up the Night." All this and more - what a legacy, and what a voice. But how is it more people don't know about this woman?
