Jeff Jacobsen responds to an article in the St. Petersburg Times in which it was stated that Clearwater Police Chief Sid Klein thought it was time to remove the police from their off duty Scientology assignments. thanks xenutv, i just went there and it turns out their in Merrimack, our hugest tourist attraction, and is a 4hr drive from where i'm at. the New England area is very rural and countrysideish and the people are very open-doorsy and laid-back. hopefully our influence'll rub off on them. so far we haven't had any problems. why don't u come for a visit u'd luv it up here.and i'm sure the scientologists'd luv to c u. LOL!

Did the police ever stop taking off-duty assignments with Scientology? Did the police ever leave Watterson Street?

Once the LMT shut down there was no need to patrol Watterson anymore so the cops lost their cushy jobs. However, last year another Clearwater citizen started videotaping Scientology. The police use the defunct injunction against him and hauled him into court even though he never knew anyone from the LMT. We had left town 4 years earlier.

i grew up in west Clearwater in the 70's-80's when they really got their claws into the Clw. court house. They are a cult and should pay...their TAX{S} !

Good job bringing this to the public's/city's attention. I wanna know what happned after this meeting too. What did the city do about these arseholes and their attempt to infiltrate absolutely every inch of Clearwater? I agree with one of the other comments that said that they didn't look particularly interested.
