Kosher Chili Cook-Off, a Documentary film by Barry "Bazza" Wernick on the 14th Annual Dallas Chili Cook-Off. Have a taste of the New Chicken Soup...Kosher Chili! Every year for the past 14 years, Tiferet Israel in Dallas Texas has hosted its Annual Kosher Chili Cook-Off. This past year was kind of special because my mom co-chaired the event. So I thought, why not put my filmmaking skills to use and document the event with my brand new digital camcorder. For those perplexed by the idea that there are Jews in Texas, Wernick's "Kosher Chili Cook-Off" confirms that not only are there Jews, but a rapidly growing, strong and vibrant, tight-knit Jewish Community in Dallas, that is proud of being both Texan and Jewish.
