The Clark County Museum features a half-mile walking trail that takes one from the main museum building to a ghost town of sorts featuring historic structures. The trail takes one through a creosote desert commonly found in the Southwestern United States but not often found anymore in the Las Vegas Valley. The museum sits on 30 acres in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson and is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and costs just $2 per person to visit. The address: 1830 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89002. For more information, visit www.ClarkCountyNV.gov or call (702) 455-7955.
